The west end of Halifax is an upper middle class area with a vibrant real estate topography comprised primarily of 1.5 and 2 storey homes built in the 1920s through 1960s. Close to shopping centres (Halifax and Bayers Lake) and the downtown core while also being close to the mainland and highway access to outside of the city. Generally speaking, the west end of Halifax is between Joesph Howe Dr to the west and Robie St/Kempt Rd to the east, then between Quinpool Rd at the south and Kempt Rd/Lady Hammond Rd at the north.
