The north end of Halifax real estate landscape is predominately comprised of smaller to medium sized homes built between the early 1900s and 1950s. The close proximity to downtown Halifax and both bridges to Dartmouth make this an attractive location. The NS Community College, Fairview Cove Container Terminal, Irving Shipyard and CFB Halifax’s Stadacona and Willow Park are mostly within walking distance. With peninsula real estate in general commanding a premium, many developers and “flippers” are taking a close look in the north end for opportunities.
Generally speaking, the area defined as the north end of Halifax is everything north of (starting East to West) Young/Barrington Street, down Kempt Road to Lady Hammond Road.
